GAR
100% of products over 25M MAU meet GAR 4 requirements
If you work on a product in scope for this part of the OKR, please carefully review the details on how to calculate and report on the scores below.
Details
A product is platform-dependent. For example, Gmail on Android is considered to be a separate product from Gmail on web, and Gmail on iOS. For 2024 OKR fulfillment, GAR testing will need to be performed on the latest go/gar testing guidelines for all use cases available for the product.
Scoring
Progress to GAR 4 for each product will be used as the score. PA-level scores are the average progress for all impacted products. Progress is calculated by the ratio of passing use cases per product. For example, if your product has a total of 100 use cases and 80 pass all GAR criteria, the reported score should be 80%.
As in prior years, quarterly updates will be reported to the company leadership team and the Products for All (P4A) Accessibility Team will reach out requesting updates. Using Accessibility Tracker is recommended to track and report progress of your product.
If a product identifies bugs external to their codebase, such as a bug in the browser, assistive technology or framework, teams should follow the external dependency processes described at go/gar-external-dependencies-form. We will add dependencies as a rationale when reporting scores to leadership.
Support
The Products for All Accessibility Team is finalizing the list of impacted products in partnership with PA accessibility leads. Reporting forms will be sent out to leads quarterly. If you represent a product in scope and did not hear from us, please reach out to awg@google.com.
